Iztutu Beach
Dalyan is home to Iztutu Beach, also known as Turtle Beach because it is one of the nesting sites of the loggerhead turtle. It is a beautiful 4.5km stretch of beach that offers excellent swimming opportunities, but there are also special rules enforced in order to protect the beach and the turtles which nest there. Between May and September night time visits between 8pm and 8am are prohibited as this is nesting season for the turtles.
Kaunos
This ancient Carian city was built in 9th century BC on the border with Lycia. It is home to a well preserved Roman theatre and acropolis. Situated on a hill, the acropolis provides fantastic views across the surrounding countryside; and below the acropolis lies the ruins of a Roman bath site.
Sultaniye Hot Springs
These bubbling hot mud pools lie on the southeast shore of Lake Köyce?iz and can reach up to 39°C. The mud contains chloride, sodium, hydrogen sulphide, and bromide which provides a restorative mud pack for the body!
Lycian Rock Tombs
The ancient Lycians built beautiful monumental tombs in the natural limestone hillsides. The intricate rock carvings and artwork that surrounds the ancient tombs was done by hand over 2000 years ago which makes it all the more impressive and definitely worth a visit during your holiday in this region of Turkey.
Ekincik Bay
Ekincik is home to 1.3km of stunning coastline and a beautiful beach set against a backdrop of lush hills adorned with pine trees and caverns. It is easily accessed by boat, and there can be a number of yachts moored there at any time so ask us about planning this into your itinerary!
